IGN Tech guru Scott Lowe explains the new 55″ OLED HDTV from the company LG. Short for “Organic Light Emitting Diode,” this tech is still in development, but is essentially a brighter, more vibrant display. While Sony’s new PS Vita uses an OLED display, it’s questionable if OLED TV’s will ever hit retail markets (not to mention it’ll run you 00). www.gosugadget.com My recent trip was to Korea and I got a glimpse of the LG 55-inch LM9600 at the LG Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. This TV totally caught me off guard so the video is quite amateurish. But I will have to say WOW. The 3D effect was quite a jump from the 2011 models by a mile. All I had to say was wow. The chrome look and the super thin bezel is making me think the new Cinema Screen design will win 2012 best TV of the year. I’ll be giving you a new video on the hint hint OLED TV in the next few days. * In the video I said the TV is a LW7800. This is incorrect, it is actually the LM9600.
